OBJECTIVES
➢ Fundamental principles: overview of instruments, materials and equipment along with key laparoscopic techniques
➢ Hands-on training on live porcine models: intra-corporeal suturing and knots tying techniques, two-handed coordination for manipulation and dissection, safe use of energy and laparoscopic staplers and clips
➢ Outcome reflection: discussion of expected results and potential complications of laparoscopic procedures
EDUCATIONAL METHODS
➢ Interactive didactic sessions between faculty and participants
➢ Live & pre-recorded operative demonstrations
➢ Supervised hands-on training sessions on ex-vivo and live porcine models
➢ Objective assessment of technical skills (OSATS)

➢ Porcine Lab (2 participants per table)
Theoretical lectures + hands-on porcine lab (2 ppl/table)
